Two years ago in August, Yvonne had her first baby, Maggie, and a week after. we were very much surprised when Pierrette, only fifteen months old, become mother of a beautiful little buck. Jiggs-. The next year after in May. another female fawn was found on the Orrs Spring road by the body of her dead mother and nearly starved. We raised Pierrette by the same method that we did Yvonne. She had e.xactly the same habits, sleeping hundred days for a doc to have a fawn. Last year in July both had twins and this last June, Yvonne, Pierrette and Maggie (the first deer born in our place) gave us six more fawns. In less than four.years, starting with two female fawns and a buck we found ourselves possessing a herd of fifteen deer.
