There were jams, jellies, sardines,cheese, crackers, both plain and ornamental, pops,snaps, biscuit, canned goods of all sorts, and otherthings which nobody but a woman can remember.From year to year we have kept the bills, and touchedthem up, elongating the shorts and foreshortening thelongs, till every thing starts in even and runs out evenunder the string, on the homestretch.
