Inasmuch as the production of ozonedepends upon the decomposition of the atmosphere by a high-tension sparkthe Campbell Coil is an ideal apparatus for this purpose. Briefly, by means of a hand bulb the ozone produced in this Ozonatoris pumped through a reservoir containing a mixture of oil of Eucalyptus andPine Needles. This oil serves the double purpose of removing from theozone several impurities, notably nitrous acid which is irritating in theextreme to mucous surfaces, also of depositing direct upon those mucousmembranes a fine vapor of the oils in combination with the ozone.
