English: Car Park at Cayton Bay
This is a pay on entry car park with flow plates¹ controlling the exit. The pedestrian exit to the beach is out of shot on the right. The low building, centre left, is the Cayton Bay Surf Shop. The embankment in the distance carries the new A165. For another photograph showing the car park, click here: https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1776441 . ¹ Flow plates are hinged devices that fall level when a vehicle passes over them in the defined direction but remain upright to prevent a vehicle passing in the wrong direction. |
