DescriptionCardiffQueenStreet-southend-04.jpg |
English: A merged view looking north from the southern end of Cardiff Queen Street railway station. On the extreme left is the disused through bay platform; left of centre is the present platform 1 where northbound services on the Valley Lines call. Platform 2, right of centre, is for southbound services to Cardiff Central and on to Penarth and Barry. Platform 3 on the extreme right is used almost exclusively for services to and from Cardiff Bay. There almost certainly used to be a further platform on the opposite side of the current platform 3. Three Arriva Tains Wales DMUs are currently in the station, from left to right these are a northbound Class 143, a southbound Class 150 and a Class 153 operating shuttle services between here and Cardiff Bay. |
