| Description |
English: Carsegowan Moss East ICI Nobel built an explosives factory here in WW2 producing gunpowder; it closed in 1945-6 but many buildings remain, an example is on the far side of this lochan. There are a number of these lochans or ponds in this site, very possibly they were made for the factory for general water supply and emergency use. |
