57 21 F. BOUCHER 57 THE LOVE MESSAGE Here a party of four ladies and a youth are gathered onthe banks of a stream, in which the youth, in scarletcostume and broad-brimmed hat, has been fishing. Theinterest of the moment is the sending away of a dove, thebearer of a message, which the two on the right are holding, and are evidently in doubt as to the wisdom of despatchingit. On the left there is an expanse ofsoftly clouded blue sky 123f in. by 73* in.
