The Shields Daily News for 2 February 1905 reported:
"Catherine S. Buck (26), married, 40 Northumberland Street, was charged with stealing from a back yard situate at the above address, two sheets of the value of 6s, the property of George Perret. She was remanded until tomorrow for the purpose of calling a witness to speak on her behalf".
The Shields Daily News for 3 February 1905 reported that Catherine Buck was fined 10s without costs.
These images are a selection from an album of photographs of prisoners brought before the North Shields Police Court between 1902 and 1916 in the collection of Tyne & Wear Archives (TWA ref DX1388/1).
