Summary
[edit]DescriptionCatinaStreetFloodedAndRestored.jpg |
New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina: Catina Street, formerly flooded out Lakeview neighborhood. Note lines from long standing flood waters still visible on house at left. House at right became a neighborhood sensation as the first house in Lakeview to be completely restored. It belongs to a local contractor who gutted, referbished, got new landscaping, and moved his family back in before many others in the area had even finished hauling their flood destroyed downstairs possessions to the curb, if they had come back to town at all.
