REPORT OF THE TWENTY-FIRST ANNUAL MEETING OF THESCOTTISH HISTORY SOCIETY ♦ ■ The Twenty-first Annual Meeting of the Society was heldin DowelTs Rooms, Edinburgh, on the 30th of November 1907,the Right Rev. Bishop Dowden, D.D., LL.D., presiding. The Chairman expressed regret at the absence of LordRosebery, whose speeches, always so bright, so pertinent, soentertaining, gave a distinction on many occasions to theirannual gatherings, and were something to look forward towith anticipation, and to look back upon with delight. The Secretary read the Report of the Council as follows:— Thirteen members of the Society have died, and four haveresigned since the last Annual Meeting. The Society hasspecial reason to mourn the loss of Professor Masson, who,from its inception, rendered such valuable services to it. Hepresided at the meeting, held on the 17th of February 1886,when it was resolved to move in the direction of the for-mation of a Society for the printing of unpublished docu-ments,
