Summary[edit]
DescriptionCharwelton Station site (geograph 6988074).jpg |
English: Charwelton Station site Looking south from GCR Bridge 489 at the site of the former Charwelton Station. The site has been redeveloped as a road test track which was due to open in 2021. A road has been built from here up to a building outside the southern portal of Catesby Tunnel and the tunnel itself has been surfaced itself as a straight high speed test track. The road passes beneath a partly infilled Bridge 489 and along the cutting for about 800m. Today the site is deserted and up for sale, so I guess the project is a casualty of the pandemic. |
