This cut is a true representation of all the Crimson Rambler class, such as Everblooming, Excelsa., Blue Rambler, Dorothy Perkins, Dorothy Dennison and Thousand Beauties. Crimson Rambler. Upon first opening, the color is part- ly bluish red and turning soon to a steel blue. Th8 color is best described by saying that it resembles that of early violets. It is a strong grower, has shining green foliage and few thorns. It bas not been troubled by mildew and is classed among the hardiest climbing roses, withstanding the winters everywhere. Thousand Beauties—A robust growing perpetual hardy Climbing Rose, which stands any climate and does not mildew nor winter-kill. It blooms for a period of about two months, producing great clusters of elegant double blossoms which are practically all different in color. From white to deep crimson with all intermediate shades and tints of rose, pink, blush, yellow, orange, etc.. show in the same cluster of bloom. Can one imag- ine anything more novel or beautiful? Dorothy-Perkins—This grand new hardy climber grows 10 to 15 feet in a season, blooms in immense clusters like the Crimson Rambler, but the blooms are more double and of a beautiful shell-pink color passing to clear deep rose: makes large pointed buds and is really superior to Crimson Rambler, blooming at the same time and mak- ing a striking contrast in color. Dorothy Dennison—This beautiful variety is a true sport from Dorothy Perkins, originating in Ireland. It is quite identical with the parent, save in the color, which is soft shell-pink with white bases to the petals. I,oralee—A hardy yellow climber of great beauty. Flowers borne in clusters like the Ram blers, fine sizei perfect form and double, while the color is a bright.clear Iemon- vellow. It is a strong vigorous grower and as hardy in any climate as any rose that ever grew. It is the first good yellow hardy climbing variety. Grandest Gli^bi^g Roses* The following are all perfectly hardy, and by all odds the very finest of outdoor Climbing Roses. Everblootaing Crimson Rambler—A sport from the grand Crimson Rambler and just like it in every respect, and one that produces its great clusters of brilliant no vers, not alone in June, but all the summer and fall as well. It is a rapid grower, the vines covering a large space in a comparatively short time, and the great bunches of glowing crimson blossoms hanging in profusion at all times. It starts blooming very early in the season and continues to flower until late in the autumn. A further advantage is that it flowers profusely on the young wood in the first year. Crimson Rambler—This will grow 8 to 10 feet in a season, the flowers appearing in great panicles as large as a man's hat. and of a deep, rich crimson color, like blood- colored velvet. The flowers, when cut, last two weeks in water and fully a month on the bush, which is a perfect mass of rich crimson at all times. It can be grown in various ways, as a pillar Rose, as a trellis Rose, and for covering a wall it has no equal, and when pegged down it will form a bed of itself. Excelsa—A brilliant Crimson Rambler flower with glossy, varnished foliage. The defects of Crimson Rambler are its unsightly foliage in unseasonable weather, and its defoliation by insects: the infusion of Wichuriana blood assures an ornamental climber which is nearly ever- green, and this will assure this lovely crimson-scarlet nillar rose a place in every American garden, for it is quite hardy in addition to all its other good points. Blue Rambler—A violet-blue seedling from crimson Ramb- ar. This is a distinct novelty in the ro3e-world. The flowers appear in large clusterst after the manner of the Strong plants of above eight finest hardy Climbers, 20c ea*h; ZJor 50c; the 8 for $L00v or $1.60 per dozen.
