They are selected and handled withgreat care and will produce magnificent blossoms. See Cultural Directions on Page 2. The tulip has long- since come into its own. hutevery year its vogue increases and its place growsmore secure in every gardeners heart. Every year,too, we see new types, forms and colors and its sea-son of bloom lengthens, for it lends itself most gra-ciously to winter forcing and to spring blooming. We offer here the early tulips, single, double, andspecial types like the parrot tulip, also the tall Mayflowering Darwins, Breeders, and Cottage tulips. Allare indispensable for their special uses and times ofbloom. Darwin Tulips The Darwin is perhaps the highest class tulip grown.The great blossoms rise on strong stems to the heightOf two or three feet and the colors vary from whiteto almost black.
