DAHLIAS OF TO-DAY. Great changes have been taking place in the Dahlia during the last few years; new forms and new colors have come ont that are truly astonishing. We grow ten acres of Dahlias and have in our collection the most wonderful new types, and the very finest varieties and colors in all types, grown in Europe and America. You can depend upon us for the best. Large S^0^ Da^Has* Great big blossoms, round, double and perfect to the center. No other double flowers can compare with these. Black Diamond—The largest and best dark variety. Im- mense size, regular form, round center. Color rich velvety maroon shaded coal black. Early, free, and vigorous. Cuban Giant—Deep dark wine red. Extra fine and showy. Dreer's White—The most glorious double flower ever seen. Snow-white, large, perfect and majestic. Dorothy Peacock—A grand flower and the very best large pure shell pink variety in cultivation. It is exquisite. Ethel Maule-Dwarf compact habit. Flowers very large, double, round ball form, pure white with a delicate tinge of lilac pink in center which greatly enhances its beauty. Gracchus—Bright orange-buff. A variety of great merit on account of its rare and superb color. Meteor-Deep flre-red: extra large and fine. Marquise—Fine lavender mauve. Immense size: perfect. Mary D. Hallock—Large double, extra fine. Bright yellow- Puritan—Extra free bloompr. Large double snow-white. Ruby Queen—Deep rich crimson-red- A superb color. Mrs. Roosevelt—A giant flowered sort of perfect form and double to the extreme center. It is a superb lilac-pink in color, much the shade of Gladiolus America. A grand sort. Above finest Show Dahlias, 30c. each ; $3.00 per dozen. DAHLIA SEUD. We wish to call special attention to our Dahlia seed. One of the finest shows among the flowers at Fiowerfield last summer were some rows of Single and Cactus Dahlias grown from seed. Seed of these was sown directly in the opon ground in May and the plants were blooming in July and from that time on, until killed by frost early in Novem- ber, they certainly were showy. Cosmos is not so elegant and pretty as Single Dahlias, They would be truly wonder- ful if they were anything but Dahlias for most people think a Dahlia should lie double to be of any value. But such is not the case. Clematis cannot surpass in grandeur our great single Dahlias, with flowers i to 10 inches across, per- fect in form and graceful in poise, while for varied and bril- liant colors they have no peer. Start seed under glass early and you can have them in bloom from June on. Single Dahlia, Clematis-Flowered—Our select strain of giant-flowered sorts in all colors mixed. Bloom in two to three months from seed. 20c per pkt. (For other Dahlia Seed see page 25.) Miss L. Hamiter, Columbia, S. C says: Several years ago I planted Dahlia seeds which were bought from you and I raised quantities of handsome flowers. I've since that time ordered Dahlia seeds from about eight other seedsmen, but have never had such a variety as I did from my order to you. Herman H. Milleb, Union Grove, Wis., says; From the packet of Cactus Dahlia seed purchased from you last spring I raised 25 plants. They are all in bloom now and of differ-', ent colors.
