English: Chittening Platform railway station (site), Gloucestershire Opened in 1941 by the Great Western Railway to serve an industrial area on the Henbury Loop line from Avonmouth to what is now Bristol Parkway, this station closed in 1964. It was situated on or near the site of an earlier "Chittening Factory" station 1917-1923. View east from Smoke Lane bridge towards Hallen and Bristol Parkway. The platform was located where the lighter green strip of vegetation in the centre of the image is. |
