[edit]DescriptionChrist Church interior, Taney Parish, Dublin - geograph.org.uk - 944521.jpg |
English: Christ Church interior, Taney Parish, Dublin. Information about the church is at 944482. Robert Mayne 1821-1905 (one of the few grandsons of Judge Edward Mayne 943640 not to become a Dublin lawyer) was married here to Elizabeth Maunsell of Bellawley Park, Dundrum, in June 1851. Robert was an infantry officer with the Madras Army and, after being invalided from service, he and his wife stayed on in South India where their two sons and some of his wider family were working. He and Elizabeth never returned to their homeland. |
