English: Christie Family monument This monument is in St James Gardens which lies behind the old Temperance Hospital on Hampstead Road. The garden contains many old gravestones and tombs. This monument mentions various members of the Christie family - amongst them a midshipman on HMS Theseus, Edward Christie, who died aged 19 in 1803; also a captain in the Bombay Native Infantry, Charles Christie, who died aged 32 in Georgia whilst under attack from Russians. |
