English: Church of St. Oswald, East Stoke. This 13th century church is quite remote from the village, and stands on raised ground above the River Trent, next to Stoke Hall. Julian Pauncefote, Baron Pauncefote, the first British Ambassador to the United States is buried in the churchyard.
