Description
English: Church of St James, Thrapston. Americans are attracted to this Church by a stone tablet bearing the arms of Sir John Washington - three stars and stripes from which came the American flag. Sir John was brother of Laurence Washington whose son John emigrated to America and became the great-grandfather of the President.
