Summary[edit]
DescriptionClerkenwell, Filthy MacNasty's whiskey cafe and St Mark's Church - geograph.org.uk - 608506.jpg |
English: Clerkenwell: Filthy MacNasty's whiskey cafe & St Mark's Church Saints http://www.st-marks-church.org.uk/ and sinners http://www.filthymacnastys.com/ viewed looking down Inglebert Street towards Myddelton Square from Amwell Street. Amwell Street is named after one of the springs in Hertfordshire that Sir Hugh Myddelton used to bring fresh water along the New River to London. St Mark's Church was badly damaged by a World War II bomb on 11 January 1941. Filthy MacNasty's was originally The Fountain public house and was allegedly the spiritual home of one Pete Doherty. |
