| Description |
English: Cliff top, Porth Trecastell. A view of the beautiful bay also known as Cable Bay, because it was where transatlantic telegraph cables came ashore. See also 425433. At the time of year the photo was taken (early May)the cliff tops are covered with wildflowers, including thrift, spring squill, and sea campion. We also saw some tormentil, which was rather early this year, its normal flowering time being June to September.
Just out of shot to the left of the picture is the largest Neolithic tomb in Wales, Barclodiad Y Gawres. |
