Summary[edit]

Description
English: Clock Tower at The Pleasaunce. Viewed from The Londs. 'The Londs' is a narrow alley which links the shops on High Street with the beach further east. It is protected by a conservation order and has hence retained its original character. It is bordered by The Pleasaunce > 1119321 - designed by Edwin Lutyens and dating from 1897-9. Its Stable Yard is located on the north side of the Pleasaunce, consisting of three sides of an oblong with 3 arches. The white-painted clock tower with a row of small-paned windows under a pyramid roof stands at its centre. (Source: N. Pevsner & B Wilson, The Buildings of England, Norfolk 1)
