Description
English: Cloth Market To the right is Mosley Street with the Scottish Provident House on the corner. The building in the centre is Balmbra's Public House and Music Hall, built in 1902. The building replaced the 'Wheatsheaf' Public House, which was owned by Balmbra in the mid C19 and was the setting for the first performance of the song 'The Blaydon Races' in which it is mentioned http://www.twsitelines.info/Siteline.nsf/SMR/4E06DD3D97AA39A8802576AF003E9C90?opendocument
