Українська: Герб відображає місцеву природу, історичний рід заняття мешканців містечка (полювання та хутрові промисли), його розташування (синій колір у гербі та смуги на прапорі вказують, що містечко омивалося з усіх боків водою, а жовті смуги означають мости та греблі).
English: The arms displays a local nature, a historical sort of occupation of city dwellers (a hunt and fur crafts), its arrangement (in the arms and strips on a flag specify dark blue color, that the city was washed from different directions by water, and yellow strips mean bridges and dams).
