Ten meters below the top is Tumova koča na Slavniku. Several marked paths lead to the top. Following the western slope of the mountain, we ascend along a gentle path from Prešnica, an Istrian village squeezed under the slopes of the Slavnik Mountains. The ascent from Prešnica is one of the easiest ascents to Slavnik, as the path is completely flat and mostly runs in the shade of hornbeam forests. The average hiker trails with an altitude difference of 560 m crossings in two hours. In the second half of May, peonies, daffodils and irises bloom along the way. |
