| Description |
English: Col between Sgurr na Sgine and Faochag From a little way NE of the summit of Sgurr na Sgine on the south Shiel ridge. The view back to the Saddle and Sgurr na Forcan over the col which I had just crossed occupies the middle ground with three small tarns on a shelf in the foreground. These show up well on aerial photographs, making it clear that I had deviated from the shortest route to find this view. That was perhaps a little profligate use of energy on this long walk starting up the Forcan ridge of the Saddle and ending, 25 miles, 9000 feet of ascent, nine Munros, one top, and a Corbett later, at the Cluanie Inn. |
