Description

La ex-colegiata de Toro, declarada Monumento Nacional y tambien Bien de Interés Cultura

Iglesia del siglo XII (que a su vez cuenta con el Pórtico de la Majestad), rómanica y gótica. En la sacristía está el famoso cuadro de la mosca, así como un Calvario de marfil único en España y una custodia de plata que estuvo en Londres hasta hace muy pocos años. El cimborrio de esta colegiata se enmarca dentro de un grupo conocido como Grupo de cimborrios leoneses

En españa hay otros edificios religiosos, que son catalogados tambien como colegiatas de Santa María como en .....Borja, (Zaragoza), Calatayud, (Zaragoza), Játiva, (Valencia) 

La Coruña, Roncesvalles, (Navarra), Valladolid, Villafranca del Bierzo, (León), Vigo, (Pontevedra) y Vitoria, (Álava) (colegiata hasta la creación de la diócesis en 1861).
