Over this route some goods were conveyed, whichseem to have been brought from New Orleans.^ From xVrkansas Post, Rogers and party descended the ArkansasRiver to the Mississippi, and thence, in the slow and tediousmanner of that day, they proceeded up the latter stream to St.Louis, Where the goods, for which they had orders, were obtainedfrom Mons.
