English: Coombe Abbey. Seen from the footbridge across the lake. The former Abbey has seen many uses. At one time it was a hostel for apprentices from Coventry industries, and it was also a venue for Medieval Banquets for many years. Today it is an "Hotel like no other" with large rooms furnished in some cases with four poster beds and reputedly ghostly visitations! |
