| Description |
English: Could these be the Mandans? The Mandans, an American Indian tribe, were long identified in Welsh legend as being Welsh speaking. Many futile expeditions were mounted in the 18th and 19th centuries to find these the descendants of the 12th century discoverers of America under the command of Prince Madog of Gwynedd. Perhaps they were at Rhoscolyn all the time.
