| Description |
English: Crooked 'S' An old foot alley linking North Street with St Martins Lane, at times known as Shambles Alley and Crooked S Lane, its current name spelt with the quotation marks on the street sign derives from the S shape it formed running between the two thoroughfares. Unfortunately, the need for access has obliterated most of the eastern part of the alley which now lies underneath a car park. |
