| Description |
English: Crosby Baths development. This strange UFO is in fact the new Crosby Baths leisure development, opened in February 2003 on the site of the old baths. Situated on a prominent site facing the Mersey estuary, the site forms part of a wide arc of sand of major ecological importance, the exposed nature of the site demanding an innovative design solution. Built at a cost of 6 million pounds, the new centre is an architecturally stunning landmark on the Sefton coastline. Facilities include sports hall, aerobics hall, two swimming pools, squash courts exercise arena, fitness suite, creche and cafe/bar. |
