Welsh Government Live Press Conference 19.03.21

Summary

[edit]
Description
Cymraeg: Cynhadledd i'r Wasg byw Lywodraeth Cymru 19.03.21. Rhai o'r prif bwyntiau: Oherwydd yr etholiad ym Mai, byddaf yn ôl mewn tair wythnos. Mae'r sleid yn dangos cynnydd mawr rydym wedi'i wneud gyda brechu; Mae dros 318,000 wedi cael 2 frechiad - y gyfradd frechu uchaf yn y DU. Mae 1% o'r boblogaeth yn cael ei frechu bob dydd, ar gyfartaledd. Gallem wneud hyd yn oed mwy na hyn, pe bai gennym fwy o frechlynnau. O fis Ebrill ymlaen bydd brechlyn Moderna hefyd yn cael ei ddefnyddio gennym. Nid brechlyn AstraZeneca sy'n achosi ceuladau gwaed; mae hynny bellach wedi ei ragflaenu. 44 achos fesul 100,000 o bobl a'r gyfradd bositifrwydd yw 3.9%. Amrywiad Caint yw'r firws amlycaf o hyd. Ddydd Llun byddwn yn codi cyfyngiadau manwerthu, hefyd canolfannau garddio. Bydd llety hunangynhwysol, gobeithio, yn ailagor erbyn y Pasg; bydd hynny'n cael ei gadarnhau erbyn diwedd yr wythnos nesaf.
English: Welsh Government Live Press Conference 19.03.21. Some of the main points include: Due to the coming election, I'll be back in three weeks. Slide shows great progress we have made with vaccination; > 318,000 have had 2 doses - the highest vaccine rate in the UK. 1% of the population is vaccinated every day, at an average. We could do even more if we had more vaccines. From April the Moderna vaccine will be also used. Blood clots are not caused by the AstraZeneca vaccine; that is now proved. 44 cases per 100,000 and positivity rate is 3.9%. Kent variant is still the dominant virus. On Monday we will be lifting retail restrictions, also garden centres. Self contained accommodation, hopefully will reopen by Easter; that will be confirmed by the end of next week.
