Summary
[edit]DescriptionDH No. 2 in CSD - 1988 (geograph 3791068).jpg |
English: DH No. 2 in CSD - 1988 It was always a surprise to find one of the 1969 built diesel hydraulic locomotives at work as their unreliability was legendary. Indeed, when seen shunting permanent way wagons at CSD in 1988, DH No. 2 would survive for only another year, being withdrawn on 9 September 1989. After a period in preservation, it was refurbished for industrial use in Sri Lanka. All locations are approximate as this site is now under the M3 motorway/cross-harbour link. |
