Nederlands: ALTENA - De eerste nieuwe komborden van de gemeente Altena zijn inmiddels geplaatst. Maandagmorgen is de plaatsing van start gegaan.
Het zijn er in totaal 198, een flinke klus voor de aannemer, maar de plaatsing gaat voorspoedig. Maandagmorgen was de plaatsing van het eerste kombord voor het gemeentehuis in Almkerk. Dinsdagmorgen is de aannemer van start gegaan in Andel. 'Ik wist dat ik in Altena woonde, maar Andel, ik kon het niet meer vinden.' grapt een passant. Eerder werden de borden al uit de portalen verwijderd om diefstal te voorkomen. Nu maakt de aannemer een ronde om de oude portalen te verwijderen en nieuwe te plaatsen inclusief het kombord met de gemeentenaam Altena. De plaatsing zal naar verwachting 3 mei worden afgerond. In navolging van de gemeente Woudrichem worden de plaatsnamen ook in het dialect op de borden geplaatst. Zo staat er in Andel ook 'Ael' op het kombord. Daarentegen is er in Almkerk geen dialect naam te lezen. |
