Description
English: This is one of the most interesting decorations on a traffic circle near airport St.Gallen-Altenrhein: A De Havilland DH-100 Mk. 6 «Vampire». Mounted last Saturday, Nov 1, rotating with the wind. The aircraft was on active service in the Swiss Airforce from Aug 28, 1951 till Jan 1, 1991. From 1978 on it was used as target towplane for the antiaircraft troops. Staad-Altenrhein, Switzerland, Nov 5, 2008. See where this picture was taken. [?]
