English: U.S. Air Force Capt. Brad Shirra checks the IV of U.S. Army Spc. Martin Begosh during his medical evacuation flight from Taszar, Hungary to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, on Jan. 3, 1996. Begosh was wounded Dec. 30 when the Humvee he was driving on patrol struck a land mine in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Begosh is a military policeman with the 709th Military Police Battalion, Hanau Army Post, Germany. Shirra is attached to the U.S. Air Force 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Begosh is the first soldier wounded in the NATO Operation Joint Endeavor. |
