| Description |
English: Dhoon Glen - Sign at entrance View is to the east at the beginning of the footpath down into the glen. The footpath was closed, as the trails in the glen were washed out in October, 2002 during a very heavy rain. I was told that I could take a public footpath down the hillside to the Irish Sea below, and I was also told that this footpath was down a very steep hill from an elevation of about 600 feet. I decided to try it, as the going downhill was effortless. Walking back up this public footpath to the 600 foot elevation required a great deal of effort. I was so tired, I had to rest at the entrance for at least half an hour while consuming a soda and some pastry that I bought in the shop at the entrance. But, the scenery was worth the effort and I was pleased with the photo opts. |
