Summary
| Description |
Donegal Castle, Donegal, County Donegal, Ireland English: Principal chamber in the first floor, looking south-east towards the large bay window. This room was significantly altered in the 17th-century by Captain Basil Brooke who converted the tower house of the 15th/16th century into a manor house. These alterations included the elaborate fire place to the left and the large bay window. The interior fell into decay in the 18th century and was restored in the 1990s. The restorations included also the bay window. The furniture is not original but was added after the restoration works were finished. |
