Dreer's Large-Flowering CANNAS Dreer's Cannas i n the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx Park, New York Cannas bloom from early summer until frost in all sections of the country. They succeed best in a sunny position and in practically any kind of soil, responding freely to liberal treatment. For best re- sults, prepare the bed about two feet deep and include a generous supply of well- decayed manure. They enjoy plenty of moisture during their growing season. All varieties have green foliage unless otherwise specified in the descriptions. Canna roots and as many as 12 plants will be sent by Parcel Post if you will add 10% (15% west of the Mississippi) to their price for postage and special packing. Minimum charge 10 cents. 23-001 Antoine Wintzer. Beautiful trusses of crimson-scarlet. 4i ft. 23-002 Apricot. Large bright apricot with cream border. 3 ft, 23-011 Cheerfulness. Brilliant fiery, intense scarlet. \ ery vigorous, 5 ft. 23-081 Timbuctoo. Of dwarf growth. Free-flowering and a fine yellow that does not fade in the sun. 4 ft. 23-082 Triomphe. Very effective brilliant bright crimson. 4 ft. 23-086 Wintzer's Colossal (Orchid- Flowered). Immense trusses composed of brilliant scarlet florets. 5 ft. 23-088 Wyoming (Orchid - Flowered). Rich bronze foliage and showy glossy orange flowers. 6 ft. 23-091 Yellow King Humbert (Orchid-Flowered). Bright yellow spotted red. 4i feet. Roots of the above, for delivery before April 1st, except where noted: 20c each; 3 for 5Sc; 12 for $2.00. Growing plants after April ist ready for planting in the spring, to start blooming a month earlier than the roots. Except where noted: 30c each; 3 for 85c; 12 for S3.00.

Dreer's Select Glodiolus Gladiolus are universally appreciated as most useful and satisfactory for garden display and for cutting. Make successive plantings for a continuous display. Of a blush white color with red blotches deep in the throat. 21-044 Charles Dickens. Glowing red- purple with deeper velvety blotch. 21-045 Commander Koehl. A most glorious clear bright blood red flower of magnificent size and heavy substance. A vigorous grower. 21-046 Coronation. A soft salmon shading to cream and with creamy yellow throat. Very beautiful. 21-061 Debonair. La France pink shading to shell pink with creamy throat blotch, lightly peppered pink. 21-063 Duna. Soft light pinkish buff shading to pale yellow at the base. 21-084 Excellence. .\ deep orange- vermilion; almost a self-color. 21-101 Frank J. McCoy. Very large pink blooms. A prize -winner. 21-114 Golden Cup. Deep yellow blooms of e.\tra-large size. 21-161 Maid of Orleans. Giant flower stalks displaying elegantly formed pure white flowers. 21-174 Mary Elizabeth. White with light yellow throat. Beautiful medium- sized heavily ruffled blooms. 21-166 Minuet. Light pinkish lavender of great charm. Has magnificent well- formed flowers. E.xtra fine. 21-231 Queen Helen II. A brilliant variety of a rich grenadine pink with a yellow throat that gives good contrast 21-241 Rapture. Light salmon with cream blotch in the throat. 21-242 Red Phipps. A very fine light red. Blooms profusely. 21-263 Tobersun. Tall straight spikes with large rich yellow blooms. 21-281 Veilchenblau. Magnificent large blue flowers —really very outstand- ing.
