Dromore Gospel Hall, Gallows Street

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Dromore Gospel Hall, Gallows Street. Dromore Gospel Hall (better known as 'the Brethren' locally) came into existence in 1920 when the hall was bequeathed to the congregation by the Vaughans of Quilly. An 1863 map suggests the entire building once served as a courthouse before becoming a 'Protestant Hall'. The main entrance was moved to the rear of the hall in 1983 - as the small exit onto narrow Gallows Street was deemed unsafe. The entrance can be seen here: 1431175.
