Summary

English: Duchrie Burn and the remains of a settlement. Here the burn flows down the hillside and then across flatter ground to join the River Gairn. At the foot of the slope on the left bank of the burn are the remains of at least four longhouses and enclosures. They take us back to a time when these upper reaches of Glen Gairn were well populated. Today no one lives any further up the Glen than a mile above Gairnshiel Bridge. |
