| Description |
English: Dykes End, Bempton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Looking northwest towards Cat Nab and Billiard Table on the Bempton cliffs, from the northern end of the Danes' Dyke earthworks on the parish boundary between Bempton and Flamborough. Danes' Dyke is a huge man-made earth rampart and trench running north-south across the peninsula which once separated Flamborough Head from the mainland. It is now thought to be of bronze age origin and nothing at all to do with the Danes. |
