It is sodesigned that these changes may bemade with the minimum of labor, delay,and expense by those who have pro-vided the necessary parts in advance. As Clamshell ExcavatorThe hand machine will carry a 1-yardclamshell bucket with a 3.5-ft. boom ora 3-yd. clamshell bucket with a 40-ft.boom. All the change required in thisinstallation is an additional drum onthe main hoist shaft, with the necessarybrake, clutch, thrust cylinder, and oper-ating levers, additional ropes, boom,bucket, tag line, and trolley. Thechanges are simply and readily made.
