| Description |
English: Eastern entrance to the Furzy Lawn Inclosure, New Forest. The Furzy Lawn Inclosure is bordered to the north and south by two gutters (meandering streams) which meet to the east to form Bartley Water. To the west is the A337 Lyndhurst-Cadnam road. These gates are at the eastern entrance to the inclosure which can be reached along paths through the open woodland to the east. A Furzy Lawn is literally a grassy area alongside a stream where there is a lot of gorse - this is presumably what the area was like before the pine trees were planted. |
