English: Edge of dry heath, Cranes Moor, New Forest The higher ground to the left is sandy dry heath with heather and gorse. Going down the slope to the right this gives way to wet heath and a valley mire. The path to the left of the photo follows the contour, just above the damp ground. In the distance is Castle Hill. |
