Description Aftermath of the Edinburgh tram accident of 29 August 2014. The man photographing the crash scene is from Lothian Buses according to his hi-viz, which isn't as odd as it may seem (as the bus involved isn't a Lothian Bus), since the trams and buses are operated together under the Transport for Edinburgh organisation. On the left is one of Lothian Buses' blue-liveried Airlink buses, which also terminates at Edinburgh Airport, just like the westbound tram. In theory this could be used as an alternate for early morning fliers, but since it uses the same road space here it can just as easily be delayed by the knock on traffic congestion caused by any tram crash, as the trams themselves.
