Description
English: Eildon Tree viewpoint. At this small seating area with a view to the Black Hill near Earlston near the Rhymer Stone 951243, is a circular stone set into the ground with the following inscription:-

"At Eldon tree if you shall be, A brigg ower Tweed you there may see" Prediction ascribed to Thomas the Rhymer

True Thomas lay on Huntlie Bank, A ferlie he spied wi' his ee; And there he saw a lady bright Come riding down by the Eildon tree.
