Description
English: c 1 June 1915; c April 1915

Portrait of Bagot Wedding Couple. The groom is Acting Sergeant (later Lieutenant) John Frederick Bagot who embarked on 12 May 1915 and served with the http://www.awm.gov.au/units/unit_10573.asp. His bride is Eileen Dubois Ive.
Bagot trained in South Australia for seven months with the http://www.awm.gov.au/units/unit_10565.asp before transferring to the Light Horse Depot at Broadmeadows. He passed his examination for commissioning as a 2nd lieutenant and by the time he embarked he held this rank. In November 1917 he was promoted in the field to the rank of Captain. He returned to Australia in February 1919.
