The currentflowing through the relay coil causes the armature to liftand break the contacts shown to the right in the wiringdiagram. This cuts out the right-hand switch-throwing solenoid, but leaves the left hand solenoid energized,thus causing the plunger to move to tin- left and throw theswitch to the left.
